Really, though.  I’ve been following a couple of these douchebags for too long.

I should stop following them, and would never have started in the first place if not for the sake of fanart.  Yes, that makes me a total fag, I agree.

But I have the misfortune of becoming attached to notoriously unpopular characters.  In short, I am destitute, and can’t find this shit anywhere else.  I have exhausted most other resources.  I take whatever I can get.

Now usually IDGAF about other players’ characterisation.  Haughty elitism is annoying.  But as someone who’s been playing a few of the same characters for years in other venues, rifling through these morons’ nonsensical drivel is nigh offensive.  These are not character journals.  These are sock puppet accounts and personal journals with character icons and names slapped on them for fun.

I am not anti-fun.  Quite the opposite, really.  But boiling characters down to a few one-dimensional stereotypes - if bothering with character at all! - is directly counterproductive to others’ efforts to eradicate those same stereotypes.

The last thing I want to do is devolve into a tirade about how this idiocy makes things harder on me personally.  That’s dumb and boring.  So I think I’ll wind up with:

AND HERE’S A PROTIP:  WHEN SOMEONE CLICKS ON AN RP JOURNAL, GUESS WHAT THEY’RE EXPECTING TO SEE?  NOT THE SAME SHIT THEY COULD SEE AT YOUR PERSONAL JOURNAL.  JUST SAYIN’.
