R: I’m glad someone finally wants to recognize my experience. Do you like my jacket? It's a blazer! Southwestern.
AM: Yes, your blazer is lovely! Okay, now please tell me a story about being mistaken as a transgender or transsexual individual.
R: Well I was on the bus with my ex-boyfriend Amos Mac.
AM: Me.
R: Yeah. And I was being harassed by a group of teenagers, young girls, you know, probably they were in the 9th grade. I sat across from them on a really packed bus and they got real mean and started glaring at me and one of them said “YOU’RE A MAN, right? You’re a dude, RIGHT?” She kept saying it and people started looking. So I got up, rolled my eyes and did a really deep exaggerated sigh and moved and then the heckling didn’t stop.
AM: And I wasn’t really there to witness it.
R: Yeah you were in the back and you walked up to me and asked me what was wrong and I told you and then you yelled “THAT’S FUNNY BECAUSE I’M THE REAL TRANSSEXUAL!”
AM: I’m always looking for an excuse to alert the masses regarding my trans status.
